Why Volunteer with Us
Volunteering with the Steamship Freshspring Trust is a rewarding way to support maritime heritage, gain new skills, and become part of a passionate, like-minded community. Whether you're interested in engineering, events, or education, there's a place for you on board.
What You Can Do
We offer a wide range of volunteer roles, including education, restoration, admin, fundraising, events, and outreach. Regular working and maintenance days are held on Wednesdays, where tasks include servicing machinery, painting, and general upkeep. From April to September, volunteer stewards welcome visitors every Sunday, 11am–4pm.
How to Get Involved
You can volunteer as much or as little time as you like. Simply complete our expression of interest form, below and one of our friendly crew will be in touch. Every volunteer plays an important role in keeping Freshspring’s legacy alive and inspiring future generations.
